Second grade Art in Action is very fun. Different parents can sign up to help with different art projects. We learn about different artists and their art pieces. We also learn about different genres of art.

The best day in fourth grade this year was when we went to the San Francisco Zoo.
Sabrina: When my group and I got there, We first went to see the giraffes. We heard there was a baby giraffe so we wanted to see it. We admired it and sighed because it was so cute and adorable.
Our club members love eating out. Here are their favorite dining establishments that you may want to visit:
In-N-Out by Madison, 6th grade
When I was coming home from school last Monday at about 12:40, I was so hungry and didn’t want to wait to go home. When we passed In-N-Out, I smelled the aroma of grilled onions, burger patties, and french fries. I told my mom, “I am really hungry. Can we go to In-N-Out?”

Cinco de Mayo means May fifth in Spanish. My mom came into 2nd grade classroom to make guacamole with us. I helped out with the activity. These are the steps to make guacamole.

Notre Dame Elementary, or NDE, is a beautiful school. In the front of NDE campus, on the left side of the doorway, there is a garden. In the middle, a white Mother Mary statue stands. She’s covered by a hibiscus tree and on her left, a yellow-leaved flower bush grows. On the left side of the bush are two green leaved plants with a brown outline. A tree stands with purple flowers that are about the size of your thumb.
Mrs. Bulkin
by Javy, 4th grade
When I first stepped into NDE, Mrs. Bulkin was of the first people to welcome me. Since it’s teacher appreciation week, I’m going to write about her. When I was in second grade (the year I joined our school) we had this thing called bingo. Every day, we did a different activity. When we did an activity, we had a classmate sign it to prove we did it. Two of the activities that I excelled at were reading and writing. Mrs. Bulkin joked that when I grow up and become a famous writer, I should sign one of my books to her. “Ha ha ha.”

Last month, the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) visiting team came to our school. Our principal decided to pick two people from each class to go to the Computer Lab so the WASC team could ask us questions about NDE. The two people she picked from the second grade were Charlie and me.

“We are almost there!” My mom said excited. I am super happy and look out the window.
“Closed?” I ask, depressed.
“Don’t worry! There is another place too at San Carlos.” I quickly sit up straight and am super glad. A few minutes pass and I slowly get bored, minute by minute. I hear my mom say, “Remember, the address is 864 Laurel St, San Carlos, CA 94070.”

The best movie of all time is Pacific Rim. First, I like it because it’s about giant robots fighting giant monsters. Second, the robot and abilities are epic. Finally, I like how the robots are being controlled simultaneously by the design two pilots’ movements. So, Pacific Rim is basically the best movie of all time.
